  • A United Church of Christ church of christian confession of faith written in 1959 formed by the Union of Evangelical and reformed with the Congregational Christian Church
  • Mainline Protestant Christian denomination with over 5,000 churches and nearly one million members.
  • The denomination places high emphasis on Interfaith (cooperative constructive, and positive interaction between people of different religious traditions and/or spiritual or humanistic beliefs at both individual and institutional levels) and ecumenical efforts (efforts of christians of different church traditions to develop closer relationships and understandings.) An organic unity of Christian denominations.
  • The motto of the United Church of Christ comes from John 17:21: "That they may be all be one". The denomination's official literature uses broad doctrine parameters, emphasizing freedom of individual conscience and local church autonomy.

Vision

Vision

To be a family of God’s people that pursues the common goals of mission, spirituality, and caring through the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Purpose

Purpose

The avowed purpose of this church shall be to worship God, to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to celebrate the Sacraments: to realize Christian fellowship and unity within this church and the Church Universal; to render loving service toward mankind; and to strive for righteousness, justice and peace.

Mission

Mission

To focus our ministries on those who we can directly impact; our congregation, our neighborhood, our nation, and our world. Our church will do this through caring; by uplifting and offering spiritual support to those who are struggling in their life’s journey. Through spirituality; to behave in a Christ-like way; by offering our time, talents, and treasures. We will put our faith into action by honoring, respecting, and celebrating the principles of scripture, our church’s rich history and purpose, and the identity of the United Church of Christ.
