Just a reminder to those who wish to sign up for altar flowers, the sign up booklet is in the back of the church. Instructions regarding picking up flowers are also located in the booklet. The flower booklet is checked every Monday to put into the bulletin. All are welcome to sign up for flowers.
The Transition Team is coordinating Cottage Conversations for June, between the 18th and 27th.The purpose of these conversations is for the congregation to shareappreciative experiences of St. Peters. These conversations will help the transition team determine what the valuesare for St. Peters. These will be discussed with the congregation as awhole at a later date.The ultimate goal is to determine the core values of St. Peters and thendetermine what God is calling St. Peters to do.Once this is determined, the Transition Team can start on the profile forthe Search Team to use in finding our new pastor. It is important that all who can participate, do. If someone cannot participate on the provided dates, please let the office or transition team know, so we can set something up with you at a later date. Sign up will be posted in the Sanctuary. Individuals can also call theoffice and Katie will let you know what is available.

The food bank is in need of your donations. They are asking for toilet tissue, bars of soap, spaghetti noodles and spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, cereal, boxes of instant potatoes, canned meat and canned vegetables, and tuna fish. These items can be donated in any of our designated bins located in the Walker lobby, the Elevator entrance and in the kitchen downstairs. St. Peters and the food bank appreciate your donations.

For those that are curious about our new logo...The symbol has several things that we feel are important to St. Peters. First, the symbol itself is a P...for Peter. There is a black cross in the middle. The surrounding colors represent our beautiful stained glass windows.
This week the children will learn the letter Aa. **Homework: On Monday and Tuesday your child will take home their Meet Me project. Please answer the questions, decorate and CUT OUT their little person. Please return on their next school day to be displayed in the preschool hallway.
Trunk or Treat is coming!!!! October 28 from 5-6:30. After the success of our block party, it is looking like we may have OVERWHELMING attendance (depending on weather, of course!) Please consider participating in this years event! You will need to supply your own candy, I will have signs and trinkets for each car for the teal pumpkins (non-candy). Our Trunk or Treat was a huge success last year and looks to be the same this year! If you dont want to do a car, please consider a table or just a chair! We can also use volunteers to run the games. Forms and instructions are in the back of the church.
For the next two months, our noisy collection will go toward purchasing supplies for Thanksgiving dinners for needy families in the Amherst area. The dates are September 23 and October 28. Thank you so much for your donations!
Pastor Bev used to meet with church members on Wednesday mornings at Arabicas in downtown Amherst. Even though Pastor Bev is no longer participating in body, she still is in spirit! Some members are carrying on the tradition and still meet every Wednesday morning to chat and enjoy the fellowship. This group of our church members have begun referring to this weekly fellowship as church chat. They would like to invite any member interested to please join them at 9:30AM on Wednesdays!
Boy Scout Troop 427 is currently selling MUMs at $5.00 a pot. Order forms can be found at the back of the sanctuary or in your bulletin. Order forms can be turned in at the church office or with Jessie Kubuske. Money is due this Sunday (09/16) for your orders. Details will be forthcoming regarding dates and times to pick up your MUMs.
Sunday school is again starting at 10 am. Please bring the children up to the Sunday school room before church. They are dismissed from the Fellowship Hall at the end of the service where they will be having snack!
This years Crop Hunger Walk will be held in Vermilion at the Vermilion UCC on Rt. 60. The Crop Walk will take place October 7that 2 PM. There will be five stops along the mile path through downtown and the park.
